I'm Akash Patel, a postdoctoral researcher in the Robotics & AI group at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden, where I completed my PhD in 2025. My research develops autonomy for aerial and ground robots in environments where GPS and reliable maps aren't available: underground mines, natural caves, and planetary analogs.

That research now anchors an early-stage venture, where we are turning field-proven autonomy into a solution that raises the safety and efficiency of industrial operations.
